First Marrakech to Essaouira day trip, First we will pick you up from your hotel l in Marrakech at 8.00 a.m. Then we make our way across the stunning landscapes of the R207 route to the coast. Along the way, we shall stop to see the argan trees where small goats clamber up the low branches and feed. Sometimes there are as many as 20 goats sitting up in one tree. It is a fascinating sight and an absolute must when it comes to getting a photo opportunity. The Medina of Essaouira is one of the best-maintained medinas in Morocco. Its numerous craft shops and art galleries attract visitors from all over the world. Also, the city is proud to count artists like Orson Welles and Jimi Hendrix among its biggest fans.
There are several “must-sees” in Essaouira, Famous Skala du Port, and the Wood Souk below the ramparts where local artisans produce amazing wood products made from the beautiful Thuya wood local to Essaouira. Also, the ramparts with the cannons are still in place from the Portuguese era. In addition the labyrinth of streets with the wonderful blue front doors, the Jewish Synagogue, the beach, and so on…
The fish market at Essaouira is an amazing place. We propose lunch in a typical restaurant with fresh fish.
The trip ends with a drive back to Marrakech to your hotel at which time this will conclude the Marrakech to Essaouira Day Trip and end of our services.
